നജീബ് VR വയനാട്ടിലെ തേറ്റമല എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ഒരു സാധരണ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം വയസ്സുമുതൽ എസ്റ്റേറ്റ് തൊഴിലാളിയായിരുന്ന അമ്മ, വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടായിരുന്നു നജീബിന്റെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തിയിരുന്നത്.കുടുംബത്തെ സഹായിക്കുന്നതിനും സാമ്പത്തിക പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നതിനും സ്കൂൾ സമയത്തിനുശേഷം std boothil ലും catering service ലും അങ്ങനെ പല ജോലികളും നജീബ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.കൂടാതെ കൂലിപ്പണിക്കും പോകുമായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ഇതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തി. 2018 September ൽ പ്രശസ്തമായ Oxford University ൽ, വയനാട്ടിലെ plantation തൊഴിലാളികളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു പ്രബന്ധം അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ അവസരം കിട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു. Najeeb VR had to struggle in life ever since he was born. His hard work and determination took him from being a Tea plantation worker's son to the prestigious Oxford University. His mother has been a plantation worker since the age of 12, and Najeeb’s father is a daily wage worker. Having the first-hand experience about the lives of Plantation workers in Wayanad, Najeeb VR had an opportunity to present a paper on ‘The economic and social situation of plantation workers in Wayanad' at St. John’s College of the prestigious Oxford University. He was one among two students selected from pan India. It was an arduous task for Najeeb to reach JNU and Oxford University. Najeeb had to do various jobs during and after school to help his family and provide monetary support. His life was that of struggle and difficulties as Najeeb didn’t have even the basic resources such as electricity and transportation back in Thettamala. Coming from such hardships and facing difficulties early on in life, Najeeb learned and grew through it. He received widespread appreciation and applause when people back in his village got to know about him and his works on plantation workers. Najeeb has also been invited and asked to help in rebuilding Kerala after the floods. Najeeb VR’s is a story of struggle and success. He is the epitome that we can achieve anything if we work hard and stay focused on our goal. He did not have the resources most of us have, and yet he made the best of them.
