മീര യു മേനോൻ ഒരു പത്രപ്രവർത്തക, കവി, ഫ്രീലാൻസ് ബ്ലോഗർ, ഗവേഷക, യൂട്യൂബർ, കൂടാതെ മറ്റു പലതും ആണ്. ആദ്യമായി ഒരു ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്ക് വിധേയയായപ്പോൾ മീരയ്ക്ക് മൂന്നുമാസം മാത്രമേ പ്രായമുണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. രണ്ടാമത്തേത് അവൾക്ക് 13 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ. She had only been in this world for three months when she first underwent a surgery. A second one followed when she was 13 years of age. She was born with a medical condition 'Spina Bifida' (incomplete development of the spinal cord) as a result of which she lost mobility of one of her legs. Meera’s life was not so easy living with people who started seeing her differently, but her family was always a support system for her. She had to go through various struggles in her school days because of her medical condition, but over the period, she had developed a positive outlook about her future. She started pushing herself to her limits by doing her undergraduate studies at Manipal University, staying far away from home. Even though the day-to-day life was hard, Meera managed to complete her studies with good grades and also got placed in Cognizant through campus placements. After one year, Meera came back to Kerala to pursue her masters in Mass Communication from Amrita College in Kochi from where she bagged 1st rank with the gold medal. The scribblings of her got published as an anthology of poems ‘Oru Hrudayathinte Yathra’, and later on, she received the ‘UNICEF Young Achievers’ award for the same.
